Job summary

Takeda seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to be field-based with external healthcare professionals, supporting medical strategy and improving patient outcomes across the US. You will analyze scientific data, translate insights, and connect customers to Takeda under the supervision of the Director, MSL.

The role requires building KOL relationships, disseminating complex data compliantly, and contributing to investigator-initiated studies.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred (PharmD/MD/PhD).
• Master’s degree in health sciences required.
• Minimum 2 years of field-based MSL experience in pharma.
• Experience disseminating complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
• Execution of activities within regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans aligned to medical strategy.
• Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and disseminate to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies processes.
• Display advanced knowledge of therapeutic area topics and collect insights to inform medical strategies.
• Identify partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and communicate insights.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP inquiries referred by Medical Information within timelines.
• Complete documentation, training, expense reporting, and admin tasks timely.
