Placements24 is partnering with a cutting-edge motorsports team to hire a Remote Performance Analyst. You will analyze telemetry data, build predictive models, and support race strategy with data-driven insights.

Working fully remotely, you collaborate with engineers, drivers, and strategists to optimize vehicle performance across aero, powertrain, and tires while maintaining data integrity and security. The role demands advanced analytics, strong programming, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in engineering, physics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years in performance analysis, data science, or engineering within motorsport or data-intensive field.
• Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) or MATLAB.
• Experience with simulation software and techniques relevant to vehicle dynamics.
• Deep understanding of motorsport principles, including aerodynamics, powertrain, suspension, and tire behavior.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze real-time and post-race telemetry data from race cars and drivers.
• Develop and refine mathematical models to simulate vehicle dynamics and optimize race strategies.
• Identify KPIs and establish benchmarks for driver and car performance.
• Collaborate with race engineers to translate data insights into actionable car setup recommendations.
• Provide feedback to drivers on driving style and performance improvement strategies.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for engineering and management teams.
• Apply statistical analysis to identify performance trends and anomalies.
