Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Senior Litigation Specialist (Remote) to manage complex auto and homeowners litigated claims across the United States. You will guide defense strategy, evaluate settlements, and set settlement authority while collaborating with outside counsel.

Requires a track record in handling insurance claims, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of civil procedure. Travel and extended hours may be required; bilingual speakers are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field.
• High School diploma required.
• Proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Proficiency in handling minor to sophisticated litigated claims.
• Extensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex litigated claims involving first- and third-party auto and homeowners matters.
• Shape claim strategy by providing direction to defense counsel, evaluating settlement opportunities, establishing settlement authority, and negotiating.
• Complete analysis of claims, including loss facts and applicable factors.
• Create discovery plans including depositions, IMEs, and exam plans for first and third-party claims.
• Assess liability, damage, coverage, and risk to determine settlement strategies.
• Collaborate with defense counsel to set strategy and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Authorize and monitor budget for outside counsel and review defense expenses.
• Prepare and present recommendations for litigated cases to local and executive management.
