Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Remote Litigation Specialist to own complex auto and homeowners litigated claims and guide strategy with defense counsel. The role emphasizes settlements, discovery planning, and coordination of experts and IMEs while maintaining budget oversight.

The ideal candidate has a track record in insurance claims handling, strong understanding of civil procedures, and willingness to travel when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance or risk management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex litigated claims involving auto and homeowners matters.
• Shape claim strategy by directing defense counsel and evaluating settlements.
• Create discovery plans including depositions, IMEs, and expert retention for first and third-party claims.
• Review liability, damages, coverage, and risk to assess for independent settlements.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on negotiation strategy and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Monitor outside counsel budgets and review defense expenses.
