Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to review clinical documentation and apply ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services. This full-time role is 100% remote and requires 5+ years of inpatient coding experience, with professional credentials such as RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/CPC.

You will ensure accurate coding for diverse hospital cases, maintain high productivity, and adhere to all coding guidelines and facility policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS inpatient coding experience.
• Must hold one of the credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CPC.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient hospital accounts accurately using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Maintain 95% accuracy with high productivity.
• Query physicians for missing or conflicting information.
• Adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
• Complete coding in a timely manner and resolve coding questions.
