Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Geophysical Data Analyst for a fully remote role supporting global mineral exploration initiatives. The candidate will process and interpret airborne magnetics, gravity, EM, and seismic data to delineate targets and integrate with geological information.

You will build 3D models, leverage Geosoft Suite and related tools, and communicate findings through reports and presentations to remote teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Exploration Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in geophysical data processing and interpretation for mineral exploration.
• Expertise in at least two major geophysical methods (e.g., magnetics, electromagnetics, gravity, seismics).
• Proficiency with Geosoft Suite, Remap, Voxler, MaxSea.
• Strong understanding of geological controls on mineral deposits and geophysical signatures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration.
• Experience with 3D geological modeling software is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process, invert, and interpret a wide range of geophysical datasets to identify subsurface structures and mineral deposits.
• Integrate geophysical data with geological, geochemical, and drilling information to build 3D models.
• Use advanced geophysical software for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Develop exploration models based on geophysical interpretations for target generation.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and data summaries for internal review.
• Stay current with geophysical techniques, software, and data analysis methodologies.
• Collaborate with geologists across time zones using digital tools.
• Ensure data quality and manage geophysical databases.
• Provide technical support on geophysical matters to exploration teams.
