Job summary

Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a Credit Resolution Officer to join our team across multiple branch locations in the U.S. The role supports restructuring, borrower counseling, and creative credit packages to return loans to viability, with a focus on preventing non-performing assets.

A hybrid schedule is available. The ideal candidate has extensive lending/credit analysis experience and strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with relationship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, agriculture economics, finance, or related field.
• At least 8 years of lending/credit analysis experience.
• Ability to handle complex credits independently.
• Proficient in accessing loan applications and making informed credit decisions.
• Strong negotiation and customer needs assessment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Influence Customers and Ag Relationship Managers while coordinating with Credit Analysts and Management in regional areas.
• Establish and maintain sound credit and loan administration/pricing aligned with credit quality goals.
• Set appropriate loan terms to manage risk across various loan types.
• Act as a resource for retention and improvement of distressed or assigned accounts.
• Monitor assigned accounts and align with the Special Assets Team and regional sales strategy.
• Provide coaching and training to Ag Relationship Managers as needed.
