Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Coding Compliance Auditor to lead detailed coding audits, develop action plans, and mentor auditors. You will monitor audit quality, maintain training materials, and report findings to Compliance leadership while staying current with ICD-10, DRG, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.

This remote opportunity requires travel to client sites or corporate offices as needed. A Bachelor’s degree in Health Records Management/Medical Coding is preferred, with CHC or

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare, acute coding, Compliance, audits, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed coding auditing and monitoring activities on acute side.
• Analyze audit findings to identify discrepancies, trends, patterns which may lead to potential non-compliance and develop actionable recommendations to mitigate risks; partner with service line leaders to develop and validate MAPs.
• Create and maintain an Audit the Auditor program to monitor quality and identify opportunities for improvement related to audit management tools and processes.
• Provide regular updates to the Compliance leader on audits, MAP outcomes, and elevate potential compliance concerns.
• Create and maintain training material for Audit process and how to use the Audit Management tool/platform; provide training and ongoing support to auditors.
• Communicate coding compliance concerns to Compliance leadership; keep up with coding guidelines and industry standards.
• Maintain compliance audit records, analytical reports, and track and trend audit program activities; manage audit logs and dashboards.
• Maintain up-to-date compliance documents and records; produce for leadership upon request.
• Assist with onboarding of new Compliance coding auditors; support auditors with questions.
• Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement; adhere to policies and standards.
• Assist with ongoing risk assessment and work plan development; contribute to department goals.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in projects and periodic program evaluations.
