Placements24 is seeking skilled Remote Air Traffic Controllers to join a remote operations center for South Africa. You will oversee airspace, provide precise guidance to pilots, and ensure safe separation using state-of-the-art surveillance and comms systems.

This remote role offers flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing certification support. You will need an ATC license, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• ATC license with relevant ratings (Aerodrome/Approach/Area).
• Minimum 5 years of operational ATC experience.
• Proficient with modern ATC systems and radar displays.
• Ability to work remotely with high focus and reliability.
• Strong communication and aviation regulation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage air traffic using ATC systems and radar.
• Provide clear instructions to pilots on routes and altitudes.
• Maintain safe separation between aircraft.
• Coordinate with other ATC units and stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies with predefined contingency plans.
• Maintain accurate flight progress logs and data.
• Monitor weather and operational parameters.
