Join us as a Senior Remediation Geologist at WSP in the U.S.

WSP is seeking a Senior Remediation Geologist for our Costa Mesa, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting, managing, designing, and implementing environmental multi-media remediation programs across sectors such as Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help expand our environmental consulting services in California and the West.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform business development within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial sectors for environmental remediation and engineering services.
• Oversee, mentor, and direct staff and project-level geologists and scientists.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and proposals.
• Collaborate with local and firm-wide leadership to achieve project and business goals.
• Manage multiple projects ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.
• Travel as needed for project execution and business development.
• Achieve sales, revenue, and project delivery targets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant environmental remediation and sales experience.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technicians.
• Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and CalEPA programs.
• Experience with petroleum and chlorinated solvent contamination remediation.
• Experience with soil gas and vapor intrusion issues.
• Ability to develop and manage complex remediation projects.
• Must pass physical, background checks, and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass HAZWOPER physical and medical exams, including respirator fit testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• California PG registration preferred.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
• Basic First Aid and CPR training desired.

Compensation: $87,400 - $127,380 annually, commensurate with experience.
