Job summary

DoorDash Labs seeks a highly capable Senior/Staff Test Engineer to advance the development and validation of unmanned platforms at system and component levels. You will run tests in-house and at labs, develop methods and equipment, and perform root cause analysis to drive design improvements for autonomous systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on test development, risk management, and clear technical communication, with opportunities for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong background in test development, execution and root cause analysis.
• Experience writing Python scripts to automate reliability tests.
• Experience designing and building testers and fixtures.
• Familiarity with CAD and shop tools for fixtures/test rigs.

Responsibilities

• Run and monitor tests in our facility and external test labs.
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team to identify test failures.
• Develop test methods and equipment to uncover failures before field use.
• Perform root cause analysis of lab and field failures and suggest design changes.
• Create scalable tests for autonomous systems.
