Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Engineering Specialist - Reliability for a hybrid role located in Arden/Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Greenwood, SC. Travel up to 25% and relocation assistance are available.

You will lead system reliability strategies, develop DFSS initiatives, and drive improvements across design, manufacturing, and field performance. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Statistics with 8+ years in technical roles and 4+ years in advanced engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical role.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in advanced engineering or new product development programs.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive system reliability and safety program plans.
• Lead Design for Reliability (DfR) initiatives for electrical distribution and control systems.
• Build system-level reliability models and manage a growth plan.
• Oversee PROLaunch/DFSS projects and Lean/Six Sigma deployment.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams using 8D and related methods.
• Analyze warranty and field failure data to identify trends and metrics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve reliability.
• Present reliability program status to internal and external customers.
