Job summary

Mindlance is seeking an experienced Reliability/Quality Engineer for an R&D focused role in California. You will improve state-of-the-art reliability programs for instruments, review designs and testing regimens, and collaborate with NPI teams to drive pre-verification testing and product robustness.

You will plan and execute automated tests, LabVIEW scripts, Python/R tooling, and hardware testing, ensuring timely completion and clear feedback.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering with 4+ years in R&D focused on reliability and quality.
Experience applying reliability methods and basic statistics.
Familiarity with GMP/QSR regulations.
Knowledge of embedded systems, CAN bus and Ethernet.
Test automation experience; LabVIEW, Python, and R.
Fixture design, lab testing and equipment validation.
Experience transferring products from R&D to manufacturing in cross‑functional teams.
Strong analytical, reporting and design critique skills.

Responsibilities

Implement and enhance quality/reliability programs to support R&D objectives.
Review designs, processes and testing regimens for reliability and compliance.
Collaborate with NPI teams on pre-verification testing and product improvement.
Develop and execute automated tests, LabVIEW programs, robotics, HALT/ALT, environmental tests.
Ensure timely testing completion and feedback to development teams.
Produce DHF verifications/validations grounded in solid science.
Support technical transfer and corrective actions with project teams.
