Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer – Mechanical Integrity at our Anesthesia Manufacturing Site. You will lead the site Mechanical Integrity Program, collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations, and drive asset reliability in a highly regulated environment.

You will develop reliability strategies, perform RCMS and RCAs, and ensure compliance with PSM, RMP, OSHA, and EPA. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years in reliability engineering and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Mechanical Integrity programs and asset reliability.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and process safety management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the site’s Mechanical Integrity Program.
• Develop and implement reliability strategies that support plant performance and business objectives.
• Ensure Mechanical Integrity activities align with production schedules and priorities.
• Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could impact safety, compliance, production, or operations.
• Conduct equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Lead Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives and risk-based maintenance strategies.
• Utilize FMEA, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs to improve asset performance.
• Analyze maintenance data and downtime trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support reliability improvements for critical manufacturing and utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Mechanical Integrity, PSM, and RMP regulations.
• Support inspections, audits, and regulatory assessments.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure program compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Serve as a technical resource during internal and external audits.
• Support inventory management of MRO materials required for Mechanical Integrity activities.
• Develop and optimize maintenance job plans and reliability strategies.
• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment availability and reliability.
• Support maintenance and capital project planning activities.
• Contribute to maintenance and capital budget development, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Identify and implement maintenance cost reduction opportunities.
• Support site Reliability KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent the site on corporate teams, projects, and strategic initiatives.
