Job summary

Alphia, a leading pet-food manufacturer with seven plants across the United States, seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer to ensure equipment reliability and optimize maintenance. You will design reliability strategies, conduct FMEA, RCMS and RCA analyses, and develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5-7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, or related roles within a manufacturing environment (CPG or food manufacturing a plus).
• Knowledge of reliability engineering methodologies, such as RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance).
• Strong knowledge of reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and availability.
• Experienced in FMEA, RCM, fault tree analysis, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Experience extracting and structuring data from CMMS and MES/plant performance systems and building analytical insights using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing reliability strategies to enhance system performance and longevity.
• Conducting FMEA to proactively identify potential failures.
• Perform reliability analyses such as FMEA, RCM, and RCA to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Developing preventive and predictive maintenance plans based on data analysis.
• Monitoring system performance and identifying reliability issues using statistical tools and modeling.
• Lead initiatives to improve throughput, yield, labor utilization, and equipment reliability.
