Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks a Reliability Engineer III / Senior for Balance of Plant cooling and water systems to maintain safe, reliable plant performance. You’ll lead diagnostics, asset health oversight, and outage support across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

This role involves hands-on work with cooling water systems, pumps, heat exchangers and piping, with occasional shift work during outages. PE licensure is preferred and a strong collaborative spirit is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited or IEA/ABET MRA-recognized institution.
• Five (5) years of engineering-related work experience for Engineer III.
• Eight (8) years of engineering-related work experience for Engineer Senior.

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering plans, designs, analyses, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations and verifications.
• Ensures designs and analyses comply with standards, codes and regulations.
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Interfaces with customers and other departments to meet objectives and schedules.
• Participates in long-term outage planning and asset life-cycle strategies.
