Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer for the Product Safety and Reliability Engineering group in Melbourne, FL. The role involves onsite work with relocation assistance available for this highly specialized aerospace position.

The candidate will generate HASS/HALT plans, perform reliability analyses using 217Plus, conduct FMEA, and mentor junior engineers within a safety-focused environment aligned to ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• U.S. Persons required for military contract.
• Circuit analysis knowledge and ability to read schematics and electronic specifications.
• Experience presenting technical information.

Responsibilities

• Generate reliability test plans, procedures and reports for HASS/HALT testing.
• Oversee HASS/HALT to validate new hardware designs and determine environmental limits.
• Conduct failure investigations and root cause/corrective actions.
• Provide design input to improve reliability of new hardware designs.
• Develop ESS requirements for product transitions into Manufacturing.
• Perform reliability predictions (MTBF) using 217Plus methodology and field data.
