Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to enhance system reliability through observability, tooling, and automation. You will own Tier 1 journey reliability, design capacity for peak loads, and integrate incident platforms into a single actionable workflow with AI-assisted analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering owning reliability outcomes.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with code and tooling focus.
• Hands-on observability and SLO engineering experience.
• Production experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, PostgreSQL.
• Experience running end-to-end incident management and post-incident reviews.
• Daily use of AI coding and analysis tools to accelerate investigation and writing.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability for Tier 1 customer journeys with SLOs and monitors.
• Lead peak load capacity planning and failure analysis for events.
• Mature incident response pipelines integrating FireHydrant, Datadog, Jira.
• Automate OE with AI-powered agents and tooling for triage and RCA drafting.
• Be the deep-debugging expert, turning learnings into runbooks and tooling.
• Maintain OE review tooling and drive action items to closure.
• Coach teams on SLOs, blameless post-mortems, and on-call practice.
