Job summary
Teradyne's Memory Test Division is seeking a Senior Reliability Design Engineer to drive reliability from concept to release for next-generation semiconductor test systems. You will partner with instrumentation, automation, and system design teams to apply DfR, evaluate new tech, reduce risks, and improve product robustness throughout development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of reliability engineering experience for electrical/electromechanical systems.
- Experience leading DFMEA and reliability initiatives.
- Hands-on HALT and accelerated life testing experience.
- Knowledge of reliability prediction, growth, budgeting, and derating techniques.
- Experience performing failure analysis and environmental stress testing.
- Proficiency with Weibull++, BlockSim, Alta or similar tools.
- Experience using Ansys Sherlock and Ansys Mechanical.
- Working knowledge of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Strong verbal and written communication to influence cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design for Reliability (DfR) activities throughout product development.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks.
- Develop and execute reliability test strategies (HALT, EST, ALT).
- Apply reliability modeling, prediction, growth, and derating methods.
- Perform failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design teams to evaluate new technologies and support releases.
