Job summary

Kaneka North America seeks a senior leader to drive Maintenance Engineering and Inspection, focusing on safety, reliability, and operational excellence at our Texas facility. You will mentor teams, establish accountability, and deliver robust maintenance strategies across plant assets.

The role emphasizes leadership in reliability, asset management, and PSM-compliant MI programs, with cross-functional interaction across Production, Finance, and Capital Projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs with PSM compliance.
• Minimum 5 years leading multidisciplinary teams at supervisor level or higher.
• 15 years progressive experience in engineering, asset management, reliability, and maintenance in a complex industrial plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Maintenance Engineering and Inspection team, establishing clear accountability for safety, compliance, technical quality, execution, communication, and results.
• Set clear objectives, assess performance, provide timely feedback, and foster a culture of ownership, reliability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
• Develop technical and leadership capability through coaching, challenging assignments, professional development, role‑based competency expectations, and documented development plans.
• Identify critical skills, capability gaps, succession risks, and future staffing needs within the Reliability and Inspection organization.
• Build bench strength for key technical and leadership positions and develop employees who can lead through both formal authority and cross-functional influence.
