Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a seasoned Release Train Engineer to join our Enterprise Program Management Office in Fort Mill, SC. You will coordinate delivery across project, scrum, and vendor teams, ensuring alignment to program OKRs and portfolio goals.

The role requires 7+ years in IT program management, hands-on experience with JIRA/Confluence, and a strong grasp of SDLC. This is a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, CS, Information Systems, Communications, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale IT programs with budgets up to $5M.
• 3+ years as Release Train Engineer in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across project, scrum, technology, business, and vendor teams to align delivery outcomes to program and portfolio OKRs
• Manage program budgets and reporting with finance for accurate reporting and funding alignment
• Oversee demand intake within the PDLC framework, ensuring alignment to capacity and funding availability
• Facilitate resolution of risks, dependencies, and conflicts with appropriate escalation paths
• Guide project managers and scrum masters to ensure alignment with delivery standards and program goals
• Identify, track, and remove impediments delaying program execution and delivery timelines
• Assess program-level risks and communicate issues to portfolio leadership
• Deliver recurring program status reports: weekly updates, bi-weekly health reporting, monthly reviews
• Ensure adherence to SDLC standards, governance processes, and enterprise delivery frameworks
