Job summary

Seasats' Senior Software Systems Engineer will own the end-to-end delivery of software and vehicle software, including versioning, packaging, and staged rollout. You will define and maintain our delivery pipelines, automate builds, and ensure deployments are reliable, secure, and scalable for a growing fleet.

As a senior engineer, you will integrate vehicle software with cloud services, improve developer tooling, and support production systems and active missions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, release engineering, or platform roles.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems internals, packaging formats, and containerization.
• Experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines and build/packaging automation.
• Experience with versioning schemes and artifact repositories.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope and lead infrastructure projects.
• Systems-level thinking across software, firmware, and hardware components.
• Track record of integrating tools and teams into cohesive workflows.
• Strong technical communication skills, balancing speed, reliability, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery process for software and vehicle software: versioning, build artifacts, packaging, and staged rollout.
• Define and maintain delivery pipelines, build automation, artifact packaging, versioning schemes, and pre-launch qualification.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code to keep environments consistent and repeatable.
• Build tooling to track rollout health and support rollback and recovery.
• Harden packaging and delivery processes for security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Act as integration point between vehicle software, cloud services, and third-party systems.
• Support and improve developer experience by tooling and workflow improvements.
• Support production systems and active vehicle missions.
• Support deployment automation and packaging tooling across the engineering org.
