Job summary

The Boeing Company in Seal Beach, CA, is seeking a Lead Software Systems Engineer to join the SATCOM Mission Planning Software Engineering team. The role focuses on building high-performance APIs, advancing front-end and back-end integration, and delivering secure software in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.

Candidates will own end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of critical features, working onsite with potential travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 5+ years of software development for space systems and ground segments.
• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• 3+ years of JavaScript experience (Angular, JQuery).
• 3+ years of TypeScript experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads, develops and maintains requirements, architecture, interfaces, and designs for high-performance APIs between front-end and back-end services.
• Leads DevSecOps-enabled Agile development activities and integrates components into a full system.
• Owns full lifecycle from design through deployment for critical features.
• Architects and consumes APIs and backend services with emphasis on automation, testing, and security.
• Leads code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Leads creation and translation of design mockups into modern front-end UIs.
• Advocates for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
