Job summary

Reflect Orbital is seeking a Senior Satellite Ground Software Engineer to design, develop, and operate the ground segment that controls spacecraft. You will own major components from design through deployment, iterating across software, networks, and hardware to enable reliable operations.

You will build telemetry and command services, automate pass execution, and mentor other engineers while supporting 24/7 mission-critical ground systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing ground systems software (services, APIs, and applications).
• Experience owning a system end to end, from design through deployment and on-call.
• Experience deploying and operating software on AWS, including container orchestration with Kubernetes and CI/CD systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ground software for satellite operations, including telemetry ingestion and command workflows.
• Lead the design of operator-facing tools and dashboards to support the operations team.
• Deploy and operate ground software on AWS and Kubernetes, maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
