FINRA is seeking a Staff Release Engineer who will deploy software to production environments, act as the gatekeeper for all in-house release implementations, and ensure changes meet defined quality standards. The role involves coordinating release deployments, documenting results, and driving defects to closure while mentoring junior staff and contributing to process improvements.

Strong communication and collaboration are essential in a fast-paced, 24x7 production setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline with at least three (3) years of related experience
• Past experience with release engineering activities including working with a formal Software Configuration / Release Management environment
• Past experience managing complex releases with strong knowledge of change, problem / incident, and delivery management in a 24x7 production environment
• Working knowledge of operating systems, development languages and products, and networking
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships that improved the quality of work products
• Should be well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities
• Ability to maintain focus and develop proficiency in new skills rapidly
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsabilidades

• Deployment of software into the production environments.
• Ensure all configuration management deliverables are transitioned to the appropriate production operations team.
• Act as the gatekeeper on all new in-house application release implementations and change management before it enters the production environments.
• Participate in release deployment calls.
• Interface with other team members and other teams in peer review of software configuration management standards and methods.
• Document and communicate release results in a timely manner.
• Champion the collaborative resolution of defects by helping to drive issues to closure.
• Lead / Co-lead internal project/program level process improvement initiatives. Provide feedback on processes by offering suggestions.
• Informally mentor more junior staff.
• Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
• Ensure all work products meets /exceeds FINRA standards.
• Demonstration of FINRA's values.
• Collaboration, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRA's mission of investor protection and market integrity.
