Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as safety sensitive.
• A satisfactory criminal background check is required.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing and testing protective relays in substation environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot distribution and transmission control circuits.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and mitigate hazards.
• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and functional checks on relay panels.
• Execute end-to-end tests using relay test equipment and software.
• Read and validate protection schematics and configurations.
• Calibrate and verify performance of electromechanical and microprocessor relays.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and field execution for complex jobs.
• Develop reports, relay settings verifications, and commissioning documentation.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers; interface with customers and stakeholders.
