Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of private clients and lead negotiations. You will drive revenue through new business development and expansion of existing client relationships while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least twelve years of sales or relationship management experience, with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
• At least twelve years’ experience in sales or relationship management.
• Experience in commercial lending and portfolio products preferred.
• Advanced skills with computer terminals and mainframe systems.
• Knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations including RESPA.
• Strong math skills; calculate interest, balances and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision and prioritize complex tasks.
• Ability to build relationships with referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages a portfolio of privately-held business clients; leads negotiations.
• Grows revenue by prospecting for new business and expanding existing relationships.
• Provides financial advice and cross-sells bank products and services.
• Builds relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.
• Structures and underwrites credits with Loan Portfolio Managers.
• Processes account activity and resolves problems within authority.
• Answers client and staff questions via phone or email.
• Assumes department responsibilities in staff absence or overload.
• Follows established policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
