Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Senior Relationship Banker to manage a portfolio of high value consumer and small business clients, expand relationships, and drive cross-sell opportunities. You will be the product expert, assess client needs, and collaborate with partners to deliver tailored financial solutions.

You will engage customers in-branch, over the phone, and via digital channels, ensuring an exceptional experience while maintaining regulatory and risk standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years Experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment.
• 2+ Years in Financial Services with direct experience acquiring new client relationships.
• 12+ Months Santander experience related to the essential functions and responsibilities of the Relationship Banker role.
• 12+ Months Customer service experience within a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Strong financial acumen with knowledge of consumer and small business products, and lending.
• Proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients effectively.
• Proven relationship-building skills and a customer centric approach.
• Excellent communication, consultative and influence skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to use digital tools to engage with customers and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio comprised of high value consumer and small business clients.
• Proactively deepen relationships with new and existing customers through outreach.
• Be the expert on Santander products and articulate benefits to customers.
• Assess customer needs and identify opportunities to help achieve financial goals.
• Recommend and deliver needs-based solutions and introduce key partners.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals.
• Engage customers through digital channels and educate them on self-service options.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Support nearby branch locations as needed.
