Job summary

Truist seeks a client-focused associate to deliver industry-leading service and grow client relationships, both in person and by phone. You will be cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed and to offer financial solutions based on consultative conversations.

Role emphasizes sales goals, collaboration with internal specialists, and delivering exceptional service while supporting branch operations and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

• Exercising advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
• Contributing to meeting or exceeding client service as well as individual and branch sales targets by offering products and services.
• Supporting team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs to internal specialists.
• Participating in the Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advancing knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Advising on consumer lending options and taking loan applications.
• Adhering to internal controls and risk management policies; staying informed of policy changes.
• Ensuring a consistent client service experience by greeting clients and guiding them within the branch.
