Job summary

Santander is seeking a skilled Relationship Analyst in the United States to manage complex client relationships and drive service excellence across banking and investment activities. You will mentor analysts, oversee onboarding compliance, and collaborate on credit, risk, and investment proposals.

The role requires extensive experience in private banking support, LATAM client servicing, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer service, preferably private banking or related field.
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• 5+ years experience using T-24 software.
• 5+ years experience with DocuSign and Appian systems.
• 5+ years demonstrated service to high-net-worth clients, LATAM focus.
• Excellent customer service, proactive with improvements.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and priorities.
• Exceptional communication (verbal, written, interpersonal).
• Bilingual: English and Spanish; Portuguese for Brazil clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and address complex or escalated issues with professionalism.
• Provide tailored client support and proactive solutions for clients.
• Guide Analysts and Jr. Analysts in applying best practices for service quality and issue resolution.
• Mentor and train Analysts and Junior Analysts, promoting accuracy and accountability.
• Serve as acting lead or provide coverage for the Relationship Analyst Coordinator when required.
• Review and approve complex onboarding packages ensuring compliance with bank/regulatory standards.
• Oversee data quality across client files, account documentation, and internal systems.
• Monitor workflow efficiency and recommend process improvements.
• Process and approve same-client wire transfers at higher authorization levels.
• Identify and elevate irregular transaction patterns or risk indicators.
• Partner with Credit Risk on sophisticated credit proposals and loan structures.
• Lead the preparation of investment proposals with bankers to meet client objectives.
• Execute FX trades and investment transactions requiring precision and oversight.
• Complete operations workflows including portfolio maintenance, fees, concessions, and transfers.
• Review reports, monitor credit/loan activity, and manage dormant accounts and FATCA/RFIs/RFDs.
