Job summary

MSIG USA, the US-based subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group, is seeking a Reinsurance Accounting Analyst to support monthly close, billing, and data validation for assumed and ceded reinsurance activity.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Reinsurance Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accuracy, timely reconciliations, and effective communication with brokers and reinsurers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5–7 years of related insurance and reinsurance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven.
• Knowledge of reinsurance, claims, and accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly reinsurance accounting Treaty Bordereau billing.
• Review reinsurance data for completeness, accuracy, and proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with the quarterly delegated/program and assumed reinsurance activity on an ongoing basis.
• Process monthly loss billings.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations, schedules, supporting workpapers, and account analyses.
• Investigate unusual balances and coordinate resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
