Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Senior Reinsurance Analyst to support monthly close, data validation, and treaty billing across assumed and ceded reinsurance activities. You will work closely with the Director of Reinsurance Accounting and collaborate with Finance, Underwriting, Operations, and other partners to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of insurance/reinsurance experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 5–7 years of related insurance/reinsurance experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reinsurance accounting Treaty Bordereau billing.
  • Review reinsurance data for completeness, accuracy, and proper accounting treatment.
  • Assist with quarterly delegated/program and assumed reinsurance activity.
  • Process monthly loss billings.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations, schedules, and analyses.
  • Investigate unusual balances and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
  • Track outstanding issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with brokers, reinsurers, and external parties to resolve issues.
  • Support Facultative premium booking and payments.

This role will work closely with the Director of Reinsurance Accounting and the Team to provide hands-on support across monthly close activities, reinsurance processing, data validation, and ongoing financial Treaty billing as well as assumed and small claims collections. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, comfortable working with large volumes of financial data, and able to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources. Strong organizational and time management skills are required.* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.* Knowledge of current principles and practices of reinsurance, claims and accounting functions. SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only.
