Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law or be licensed in one state and licensed in Iowa and South Dakota within one year after start date.
• Six years of legal experience is required.
• Experience in a regulated industry, regulatory agency or law firm setting is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication, sound judgment and leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Representation before regulatory agencies, including preparation of written materials and appearances at hearings or other meetings.
• Legal compliance and preventive law representation and training.
• Contract drafting, review and negotiations.
• Dispute avoidance counseling, dispute and litigation management, outside counsel management.
• Analysis of business opportunities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
