The role emphasizes mentoring regulatory attorneys, managing complex regulatory matters, and partnering with business leaders to influence decision‑making across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant technical work experience.
• 12+ years of management experience.
• 15+ years of experience in corporate environments, government, or law firms focused on utility regulation, litigation, administrative, or energy law.
• Indiana licensure required within 18 months of hire.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and license to practice law in any U.S. state or D.C. (required).

Responsibilities

• Shape the strategic direction and vision for the regulatory legal team in collaboration with senior legal leaders.
• Provide executive leadership, guidance, and oversight to regulatory attorneys, ensuring high‑quality legal counsel aligned with business priorities.
• Mentor, coach, and develop regulatory attorneys and high‑potential employees.
• Partner with business leaders to support decision‑making, manage complex regulatory matters, and ensure cross‑functional collaboration.
• Advise on the impact of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and administrative rulings.
