Job summary

Sei Labs in New York City is seeking an Operations Lead to own the daily operating engine of our futures clearing function, from trade capture to settlement, with compliance and risk teams. You will build the operating model from day one and scale the team as volume grows.

This role requires 6+ years in futures/clearing operations, hands-on trade flow experience, strong process design, and comfort partnering with engineers on automation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressively responsible futures/clearing operations experience.
• Hands-on, end-to-end trade flow experience: execution, clearing, settlement and reporting.
• Deep experience with position management and margin.
• Working knowledge of FCM obligations, including customer funds segregation, daily segregation computations and books and records.
• A clean regulatory record, with no NFA or FINRA disciplinary history.
• Strong process and control design skills, and comfort writing the playbook.
• Data fluency (SQL or advanced Excel) and the ability to partner with engineers on automation.
• Autonomy and composure in a 0-to-1 environment where priorities shift often.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trade flow for the lifecycle, including capture, booking, and clearing interfaces.
• Run daily reconciliations for trades, positions, margin, fees, and cash; drive issues to resolution.
• Manage margin processing, calls, settlement, and coordinate liquidations with Risk.
• Oversee treasury and customer funds flows across fiat and stablecoins; support CFO reporting.
• Own account lifecycle from KYC/AML to maintenance and tax documents; handle escalations.
• Manage vendors and back-office relationships; oversee SLAs and DR/BCP readiness.
• Write procedures, controls, indicators, and reporting with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Eng. liaison.
• Explain operating model to regulators during registration and exams.
