Job summary

University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks a Senior Registered Behavior Technician to provide direct 1:1 behavioral therapy and crisis intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders in an on-site setting in Omaha, NE. Required: 1 year of relevant experience and RBT license or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience implementing behavior analytic interventions in an education, instructional, or therapeutic setting.
• Licensed as a Registered Behavioral Technician or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
• Must be able to prepare for and collect data and enter data into graphs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to remain calm and patient during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY

Provide direct, 1:1, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention supports (e.g., behavioral therapy services) to children diagnosed with autism spectrum or related disorders. Provide first level of supervision to Associate Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians and may assist in training and provide oversight in the progress of sessions. This position will lead day-to-day functions of assigned cases and provide first level drafts of patient related documentation and communications, under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA -D.

All behavioral therapy strategies and intervention components will occur through the implementation of a treatment plan that is prepared and directed by a BCBA or BCBA -D/Licensed Psychologist.
