STV is seeking a Senior Regional Scheduler for the Construction Management Group in Los Angeles, CA.
Duties
- Reporting directly to the Sr Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating and providing updates and reports for upper management to meet Key Performance Indicators.
- Supervise Project Schedulers to ensure project timelines are met and interface with OARs, Senior Project Managers, site staff, and contractors regarding CPM schedules, scope, and budget.
- Assess staffing needs and recommend improvements to executive staff.
- Develop and maintain program schedules with relationships, milestones, and constraints for various construction projects.
- Interpret detailed construction drawings and understand work scope.
- Review contractor’s baseline schedule submissions for proper scope identification and logical sequencing; provide detailed review comments.
- Perform QA/QC on contractor schedule submissions for conformance with contract terms, analyzing critical path, resource loading, and schedule content.
- Conduct schedule Time Impact Analyses for change orders and negotiate delays with OAR and contractors.
- Read drawings to determine scope inclusion and understand contract terms for potential time extensions.
- Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
- Inspect construction sites to verify schedule progress and report findings.
- Communicate effectively with contractors on schedule and progress issues.
- Regularly perform Program Schedule QA/QC reviews.
- Update Program and Master Schedules bi-monthly.
- Prepare reports as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of full-time professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in educational or public works projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera latest version and MS Office Suite.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
- Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in any field plus 2 additional years of Construction Scheduling experience.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with project teams and staff.
- Knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling principles, and schedule forensics.
Compensation Range
$109,771.86 - $146,362.48
