Job description

Job Title: Senior Regional Scheduler

STV is seeking a Senior Regional Scheduler for the Construction Management Group in Los Angeles, CA.

Duties:
  • Report directly to the Sr Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating, providing updates and preparing reports for upper management to meet Key Performance Indicators.
  • Supervise Project Schedulers to ensure project timelines are met; interface with OARs, Senior Project Managers, site staff, and contractors regarding CPM schedules, project scope, and budget.
  • Assess project staffing needs and recommend improvements to executive staff.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying relationships, milestones, and constraints for various construction projects.
  • Interpret and review detailed construction drawings across disciplines to understand work scope.
  • Review contractor baseline schedules, verify scope identification and logical sequencing, and provide detailed review comments.
  • Conduct QA/QC on contractor schedule submissions, reviewing critical path, resource loading, and schedule content.
  • Perform schedule impact analyses for change orders and negotiate delays with OARs and contractors.
  • Analyze drawings and contract terms to determine scope and merit of time extensions.
  • Conduct critical path and earned value analyses.
  • Visit construction sites as needed to monitor progress and report findings.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors regarding schedule and progress issues.
  • Perform regular schedule QA/QC reviews and bi-monthly status updates.
  • Prepare reports as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 10 years in Construction Scheduling with an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in educational or public works projects. Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience with additional years in scheduling.

Compensation Range:

$109,771.86 - $146,362.48
