Job summary

Intertek-PSI is seeking a Regional Engineer - Geotechnical in Fairfax, VA to provide technical leadership on a variety of geotechnical projects. You will supervise staff, interpret lab and field results, and prepare geotechnical reports in line with project scope.

The role requires extensive geotechnical experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with national and international teams. A PE license is preferred and working across multiple project types is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program and Master's in Geotechnical Engineering are required.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience is required.
• Virginia P.E. license is required or ability to obtain in the state of employment and adjacent states.
• Proficiency in GeoStudio, APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, Plaxis, Midas, SLIDE, Settle3D and MSEW or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical engineering support on diverse projects (Transportation, infrastructure, multi-family, etc.).
• Perform evaluations using standard geotechnical methods and engineering judgement.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports per project scope.
• Engage with clients and manage project budgets and schedules.
