NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX seeks an experienced regulatory leader to own Export Control & Sanctions for the AMEC region. You will interpret regulations, guide the business, and be the regional decision-maker with final oversight of compliance outcomes.

This role requires 10–15+ years in export controls, deep knowledge of U.S. EAR/BIS, and a proven ability to handle high-risk cases with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of experience in Export Controls and Sanctions.
• Strong expertise in U.S. EAR / BIS.
• Proven experience making decisions in complex, high‑risk environments.
• Ability to operate as a senior business partner and decision authority.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary decision‑maker for Export Control & Sanctions matters in the AMEC region.
• Serve as the main interface to the business, providing clear and actionable guidance.
• Own high‑risk cases, exceptions, and regulator interactions.
• Ensure consistent and defensible interpretation of U.S. EAR / BIS requirements.
• Decide routine cases and elevate only complex, cross‑regional, or high‑risk situations.
