Job summary

NODA AI seeks an Export Controls & Trade Compliance Manager to lead day-to-day export controls and trade compliance. You will manage licenses, screenings, classifications, and audits while collaborating with engineering, contracts, security, and finance to embed compliance into operations.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in U.S. import/export compliance and ITAR/EAR experience. Hybrid role in Austin or DC with travel, reporting to the Export Compliance team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. import, export, or trade compliance activities.
• In-depth ITAR, EAR, OFAC, CCL, ECCN, USML knowledge.
• Experience preparing, administering, or tracking DDTC/BIS licenses and classifications.
• Familiarity with DECCS and SNAP-R government systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal SME and owner for export controls and trade compliance with cross-functional coordination.
• Own and manage DDTC registration and regulatory compliance obligations with government filings.
• Prepare and track export licenses, agreements, authorizations, and classifications through USG systems.
• Document jurisdiction/classification determinations for software, hardware, and data under USML/CCL.
• Perform restricted and denied party screening and manage foreign person controls.
• Maintain ITAR/EAR program, records, training, audits, and licensing obligations.
• Coordinate with ISSM/FSO/IT to control access to export-controlled information.
