Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Estimating Lead in Dallas to manage region-wide estimating, budgets, and staffing. You will work with project managers on procurement, negotiate terms, and ensure cost-efficient proposals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. 10 years of related experience with supervisory/management experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required, travel 20%–40%.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer estimating functions for region/area/group including budgets and staffing.
• Implement estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Coordinate with project managers on POs, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Supervise preparation of market cost studies and materials pricing; update cost database.
• Provide oversight with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability.
• Ensure standardized use of estimating systems and maintain historical data of estimates and bid results.
• Review final estimates and proposals for accuracy and completeness prior to quotation.
