Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to lead regional estimating efforts, manage budgets, and guide procurement support for diverse projects in the United States. You will partner with project teams to develop accurate cost plans and maintain historical data to improve future bids.

The role requires strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and ability to coordinate with design leads for constructability and value.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 10 years related experience with at least 3 in supervision.
• Willingness to travel 20%–40% as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer estimating functions for assigned region, including budgets and staffing.
• Implement estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers on procurement and change orders.
• Supervise market cost studies and recommend database updates.
• Coordinate with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability.
• Ensure use of approved estimating systems and maintain cost data history.
• Review final estimates and proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Request outsource pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Travel as required (20%–40%).
