CDM Smith seeks an experienced Estimator to manage and administer estimating functions across the region, including operating budgets, staffing assignments and bid strategies. You will ensure policies are applied and maintain the estimating database.

You will collaborate with project managers and design leads to deliver accurate proposals, cost effectiveness and constructability insights, while maintaining historical data on estimating man-hours and bid results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 in supervisory/management capacity.
• Willingness to travel 20% - 40%.
• Equivalent additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsabilités

• Manage and administer estimating functions including operating budgets, staffing assignments and work assignments.
• Implement established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Assist project managers in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders during procurement.
• Supervise the preparation of market cost studies and cost database updates.
• Review project details with region leadership and determine strategies and resources needed.
• Provide coordination with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability.
• Ensure standardized use of approved estimating systems and maintenance of the cost database.
• Maintain historical data for estimating man-hours and bid results by project.
• Review final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
