Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Automation Engineer to lead control-system support across a region of sites. You will engage in commissioning, on‑call, and continuous improvement, developing SOPs, metrics, and best practices to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will coordinate with vendors and senior leaders, provide 24/7 rotating support, and travel up to 80% to multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/Automation or equivalent, or 7+ years automation experience.
• Strong PLC programming and automation background with robotics work cells.
• Experience with industrial networks and control systems troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level support for regional control systems across multiple sites.
• Lead commissioning, on‑call rotation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, performance metrics, and reliability improvements for equipment.
• Create KPI reports and coordinate vendor and multi‑team resolutions.
• Travel up to 80% to support field sites and deployments.
