Job summary
US Foods is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to design, optimize, and manage refrigeration and related facility systems across regional sites. You will provide advanced technical leadership in planning, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical, and facility support systems.
The role requires collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and external partners; you will
Qualifications
- 5 years of industrial refrigeration or cold chain engineering experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience managing multi-site operations and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, optimization, and lifecycle management of refrigeration and facility systems.
- Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical, and integrated operational systems.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and external vendors on improvements.
- Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement uptime enhancements.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Develop standards, SOPs, and system specifications for consistency.
- Support capital projects from concept to startup.
- Evaluate modernization opportunities and energy efficiency.
