Job summary

US Foods seeks a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and lifecycle management of refrigeration and facility systems. You will provide advanced technical leadership across infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, and electrical systems to support critical operations.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive system standardization, improve uptime and energy efficiency, and manage capital projects.

Qualifications

5 years of industrial refrigeration or cold chain engineering experience.
Experience with ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, HVAC/mechanical systems.
Experience managing multi-site operations and technical teams.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, IIAR, energy efficiency and automation.
Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and capital project execution.
Travel approximately >40% during initial years.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of refrigeration and facility systems.
Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical and electrical systems.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and external vendors.
Monitor performance, analyze trends, and drive uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
Develop engineering standards, procedures, and system specifications.
Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
Evaluate modernizations and emerging technologies for operational goals.
Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards compliance.
