Job summary
Target's Properties team seeks a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to shape enterprise refrigeration design standards across our Retail Stores. You will define strategy, equipment choices, controls integration, and energy optimization to support safety, reliability, and sustainability.
You will mentor engineers, review construction documents with CAD/BIM (Revit), travel up to 25%, and lead cross-functional collaboration with internal partners and external consultants to drive innovative refrigeration
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years in refrigeration design for commercial facilities.
- Advanced knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, and energy optimization.
- Experience with field coordination and construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Establish enterprise refrigeration design standards for Target's stores.
- Provide technical leadership on equipment, controls, refrigerants, and lifecycle performance.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with internal/external partners; travel up to 25%.
