Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to guide enterprise refrigeration design and standards for store facilities. You will lead technical strategy, oversee equipment integration, and ensure energy efficiency and safety objectives are met.

The role requires 7+ years in relevant refrigeration work, CAD/BIM proficiency, and the ability to influence across multiple teams while traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years experience in consultant engineering, refrigeration contractor, retailer or manufacturer.
• Expert knowledge of commercial refrigeration system design, operation, commissioning and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead refrigeration engineering across Target stores, establishing standards and design strategies.
• Mentor engineers and evaluate emerging refrigeration technologies.
• Coordinate with internal partners and external consultants on equipment selection and lifecycle performance.
• Travel up to 25%.
