Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and lifecycle management of facility and operational systems across our distributed network. This role provides technical leadership for infrastructure, automation, controls, and mechanical/electrical systems.

The position is remote within the United States (excluding Hawaii and territories) with travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

5 years of industrial refrigeration or cold chain engineering experience.
Experience with ammonia and Freon refrigeration, HVAC and preventive maintenance programs.
Willingness to travel >40% and manage multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of facility and operational systems.
Provide advanced technical expertise for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and vendors to identify and execute improvements.
Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement solutions to improve uptime and efficiency.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop engineering standards, procedures, and system documentation.
Support capital projects and facility upgrades from concept through startup.
Evaluate modernization strategies and emerging technologies.
